📡 How to Connect Locally (No Internet)
WiFi Mesh: Both devices must be on the same WiFi router or one device acts as a mobile hotspot. Open the app, go to "Nearby" tab — peers appear on the radar automatically.
Bluetooth BLE: Enable Bluetooth on both phones. Tap "BLE Scan" in the Nearby tab to discover and pair with devices within 10–30 meters.
Air-Gap QR: No WiFi or Bluetooth needed. One device shows a QR code; the other scans it with the camera. A secure encrypted channel is established with zero radio transmission.
Perfect Forward Secrecy: Every session uses a fresh ephemeral keypair — previous sessions cannot be decrypted even if current keys are compromised.
Zero Storage: Messages are never written to the device disk. All state lives in volatile RAM.
1. Getting Started: The "Search Engine" Interface
PrivyChat disguises itself as a simple search engine. Here is how to navigate the "Google Theme" UI to access
different modes.

Want to join the global conversation?
Action: Leave the search bar empty and click the button.
Result: You enter the "General" room. Anyone can join here.
Security: Encrypted in transit (HTTPS), but not end-to-end encrypted.
Public by design.
🔐 Private Room (Password Protected)
For secure team meetings or group chats.
Action: Click or type a Room
Name in the search bar and hit Enter.
Setup: You will be prompted to set a Password.
Encryption: Uses AES-GCM (military-grade). The password generates the key. If you lose
the password, the data is unrecoverable.
🎲 1-on-1 Secure Link ("I'm Feeling Lucky")
The gold standard for top-secret conversations.
Action: Click the button.
Result: Instantly generates a unique, 1-time room (e.g., secure-x8a92b).
Sharing: Copy the URL and send it to your partner. The encryption key is hidden in the
URL hash, so the server never sees it.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: PrivyChat uses RAM-Only Storage. If you refresh the page or
the server restarts, your chat history is permanently deleted.

A true spy tool. Hide secret text messages inside innocent files.
Encode (Hide): Click the Spy Icon 🕵️♂️ -> Drag a PNG image -> Type your
secret -> Download the new "Secret Image".
Decode (Read): Click the Spy Icon 🕵️♂️ -> Go to "Read Message" -> Upload
the "Secret Image" -> Reveal the text.
Note: Works best with PNG files. Sharing via WhatsApp/Facebook may
destroy the hidden data due to compression.

Launch: Click the Radar Icon 📡 in the top navigation bar or go to Nearby Mesh.
Local WiFi / Hotspot Mesh: Anyone connected to the same WiFi router, office LAN, or mobile phone hotspot automatically discovers each other on the 360° sonar radar.
Web Bluetooth (BLE): Connect and pair directly with nearby Bluetooth devices within physical proximity (10–30 meters).
Air-Gapped Optical QR Beam: Transfer session handshakes directly from camera to screen with 100% zero network, zero Wi-Fi, and zero Bluetooth.
Security: Every P2P session generates an ephemeral 256-bit Elliptic Curve (ECDH P-256) session key with unique AES-256-GCM message ciphers.

Want your messages to disappear after being read?
Use the dropdown menu next to the input bar (Default: ⏱️ Off).
Select 5s, 15s, 30s, 60s, or Burn on Read.
Sent messages will display an ephemeral countdown badge on the screen and vanish permanently from volatile memory when the timer fires.
🎤 Encrypted Voice Notes & Masking
Click the Microphone Button🎤 to record a voice note.
Enable Voice Mask to apply pitch-shifting modulation and disguise your vocal identity.
Voice notes are encrypted end-to-end and transmitted over direct WebRTC DataChannels.
📞 Secure P2P Calling (WebRTC)
PrivyChat supports direct Peer-to-Peer (P2P) calling. No central server processes your audio or video.
Voice Call (📞): Encrypted audio stream with DTLS-SRTP. Great for low bandwidth or stealth.
Video Call (🎥): High-definition video + audio direct mesh.
Permissions: You must allow Camera/Microphone access when prompted by your browser.

Microphone / Camera Not Working?
Make sure you have allowed "Microphone & Camera Access" in your browser's site settings.
(Click the Lock/Tune icon in the address bar -> Site Settings -> Microphone/Camera -> Allow)
Encryption Error?
If you see "Decryption Failed" messages, it means your partner has a different room password.
Ensure you both joined with the exact same password or verify your safety numbers in Nearby Mesh.
